26/06/2009 - The Umbria Region approved the Housing Plan

Umbria's Regional Council approved the draft law 'Norms for territorial governance and planning, and for the economic relaunch via the redevelopment of the existing property patrimony', prepared by the executive in Palazzo Donini. These are the main points of the regional draft law: Contents The law regulates the relations between the Region, the Provinces and the Municipalities in the planning (safeguard, valorisation and use of the territory), to ensure a coordinated and integrated 'multi-level governance' for carrying out a shared planning according to subsidiarity criteria, integrating the territorial economic planning with the quality and strategic planning of landscape, natural and cultural assets. The Region will be entrusted with the indication of strategies and directions, local authorities with the analysis deepening of programmatic, location and regulation choices. The Provinces' duty will be central and is expressed via the Territorial Plan of Provincial Coordination (PCTP), a joint instrument for support and integration among municipal plans.
